FOLLOW THE LORD’S WARNINGS

FOLLOW THE LORD’S WARNINGS Friday - August 20, 2010

“Warn a divisive person once, and then warn him a second time. After that, have nothing to do with him.” – Titus 3:10

Ted Frank is an attorney and the president and founder of The Center For Class Action Fairness. He has compiled a list of wacky warning labels. Here are a few of his favorites:
A warning on a wood router says: “This product not intended for use as a dental drill.”
A five-inch brass fishing lure with a three-pronged hook on the end cautions: “Harmful if swallowed.”
A vanishing fabric marker warns: “The Vanishing Fabric Marker should not be used as a writing instrument for signing checks or any legal documents.”
A label on a small tractor cautions: “Danger! Avoid Death.”
A portable toilet seat called the “Off-Road Commode” that attaches to a vehicle’s trailer hitch warns: “Not for use when vehicle is in motion.”
A popular scooter used by children throughout the United States warns: “This product moves when used.”
And finally, a label on baby stroller warns: “Remove child before folding.”

Unlike the world that gives us some wacky warnings, the Lord warns us to protect us and to provide for us. Today in prayer, praise the Lord loving you and warning you of potential danger.

“If you can't be a good example, then you'll just have to serve as a horrible warning.” – Catherine Aird

God’s Word: “These things happened to them as examples and were written down as warnings for us, on whom the fulfillment of the ages has come.” – 1 Corinthians 10:11
