Following Directions: ONE WAY

Following Directions: ONE WAY

I will give them one heart and one way, that they may fear Me forever.

A recent study from the Pew Forum on Religion & Public Life found that large numbers of people now engage in multiple religious practices, mixing features of various faiths. Many blend Christianity with elements of Eastern and New Age beliefs, such as reincarnation, astrology, and even the occult. Because of this politically-correct pluralism, many Christians are questioning whether Jesus Christ is really the only way to God.

If pollsters could ask Jesus that question, they would get a clear-cut answer: "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me" (John 14:6).

If they asked the apostle Peter, they would be told: "Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved" (Acts 4:12, NIV).

Going the wrong way down a one-way street is deadly. It doesn't matter how sincerely intentioned the driver is, or how educated, or how broad-minded--it can still get him killed. Don't try to paint over the one-way signs of Scripture. Just make sure you're going the right way.

Jesus is not one of many ways to approach God, nor is He the best of several ways; He is the only way.
